Eastlink provides progress update on N.B. mobile network expansion

Mobile wireless prices down, fixed broadband Internet prices up in 2021, report says

OTTAWA – Mobile wireless pricing is trending downwards in Canada and fixed broadband Internet prices have mostly increased since 2020, according to the latest edition of the government commissioned report Price Comparison Study of Telecommunications Services in Canada and with Foreign Jurisdictions. The report, prepared by Wall Communications Inc., was released recently but is dated February 15, 2022, and covers pricing from 2021. Develop Nova Scotia announces new high-speed Internet projects

HALIFAX – Develop Nova Scotia today provided an update on the progress of the Internet for Nova Scotia Initiative, indicating 273 more homes and businesses in the province will gain access to high-speed Internet through a scope expansion project with Eastlink. Today’s announcement will benefit 24 communities in small pockets around Nova Scotia. CRTC decides regime on blocking botnet traffic needed

Eastlink fibre upgrade in Mindemoya progressing

Canadians still subscribe to paid TV in relatively high numbers, says MTM report

OTTAWA — CBC/Radio-Canada’s Media Technology Monitor (MTM) today released a new report that shows the number of Canadians, both English and French-speaking, who subscribe to paid TV services is still relatively high. “Although paid TV subscriptions have been in decline for over a decade, they still remain fairly high with 69% of anglophone households having a paid TV service,” reads a press release highlighting MTM’s findings for the English Canadian paid TV market.
