OTTAWA – The Canadian Network Operators Consortium has filed an application with the CRTC asking that a number of new regulations be applied to cable company ISPs who are not fairly treating its members acting as third party internet access providers.
The independent TPIAs (such as Teksavvy, Primus and Telnet) who provide internet service to their customers by purchasing wholesale high speed access service from the likes of Cogeco, Rogers, Shaw and Videotron say that either through malice or indifference their businesses are being seriously harmed by the cable companies and the CRTC must step in.

TORONTO – After 15 years as MuchMore, Bell Media said Thursday that it is re-branding the former music service into M3, a "destination channel" for 30-somethings.
Starting September 30, programming will include music, scripted series, reality programming, and movies, as well as the premieres of dramas Reign, Ravenswood, and the annual Pretty Little Liars Halloween special.

MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable announced today it has promoted Louise St-Pierre, who has been with the company for 14 years, to the position of president and CEO of Cogeco Cable Canada.
St-Pierre, who is now responsible for overseeing the operations of Cogeco Cable Canada, first joined Cogeco Cable in 1999 as VP and CIO.
