Cogeco looking to raise US$400 million in private note offering

MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable Inc. announced today it is proposing a private offering of US$400 million of senior unsecured notes due 2020. The notes will be guaranteed by the company’s wholly-owned restricted subsidiaries. Cogeco said it will use the net proceeds from the offering to partially repay a term loan the company entered into with its acquisition of Peer 1 Network Enterprises in January. Cogeco Q2 revenue up 32.7% on ABB and Peer 1 additions, but profit drops

MONTREAL – Cogeco Inc. reports that second quarter revenue increased by 32.7% to $458.5 million, and by 19.3% in the first six months to reach $825.1 million. Earnings from continuing operations for the quarter that ended February 28 were $58.5 million compared to $31.1 million a year earlier. It mostly attributes the increase for the quarter to the operating income from the recent acquisitions of ABB and Peer 1. MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable is urging the CRTC to reject BCE’s $3.38 billion bid to purchase Astral Media, and is asking to appear at the Commission’s public hearing scheduled to begin on May 6, 2013 in Montreal. Cogeco bumps up capacity for Ontario and Quebec internet subscribers

MONTREAL, QC – Cogeco announced the ramp-up of monthly transfer capacity for all of its high speed internet (HSI) residential packages in Quebec and Ontario. Cogeco subsidiary completes Peer 1 purchase
