Bell Let’s Talk calls for community fund applications, thanks supporters

MONTREAL – With just days to go before Bell Let's Talk Day on January 28, Bell officially kicked off the $1 million annual Bell Let's Talk Community Fund for 2015. Applications are now being accepted for grants from $5,000 up to $50,000 for community-based mental health initiatives from coast to coast to coast. Audet sees TiVo leading Cogeco’s growth

“Strong performance” in Q1 lifts Cogeco profits by 14.1%

MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable kicked off fiscal 2015 with “solid” first quarter financial results that included a 14.1% jump in profits. For the first quarter ended November 30, 2014, the company said that revenue increased 4.6% to $497.0 million, up from $474.9 million last year, driven by growth of 1.8% in its Canadian cable services segment, 15.2% in the American cable services segment and 3.5% in the Enterprise data services segment.  Revenue increased organically from most operating units combined with favorable foreign exchange rates in its foreign operations. Cogeco appoints two presidents at Atlantic Broadband subsidiary

MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable has named Richard Shea as president and CEO of its American subsidiary Atlantic Broadband, and David Isenberg as its president and chief revenue officer, effective January 1st. Current president, CEO and company co-founder Edward Holleran has decided to step down from his position effective January 1, 2015, but will stay on as vice president of industry relations on a part-time basis. Cogeco rolls out home phone service in Paspebiac

MONTREAL – Cogeco Cable has launched its home phone service in the Quebec municipality of Paspebiac, located at the south end of the Gaspe Peninsula. Cogeco Data Services developing Canada’s first neutral Public Cloud
