Cogeco rolls out French-language TiVo service in Quebec

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC – Cogeco Cable launched a customized version of TiVo to its Quebec-based cable customers Monday, some five months after first rolling it out in Ontario. Canadian cord-cutting accelerated in 2014, but carriers are holding off OTT so far

GATINEAU – There are always some interesting figures which emerge with the publishing of the annual aggregate returns of the large carriers and broadcasters by the CRTC. Cogeco Data Services’ new Public Cloud Virtual Data Centre service includes self-service customer portal

TORONTO – Cogeco Data Services has launches Canada's first geo redundant multi-hypervisor-public cloud and self-service management portal. CRTC tells CNOC, cable carriers to work out wholesale HSA issues

OTTAWA — The CRTC announced Thursday it is closing the file on a complaint from the Canadian Network Operators Consortium (CNOC) regarding various cable carriers’ wholesale high-speed access (HSA) services, and directed CNOC and the cable carriers to address outstanding issues through bilateral discussions or the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC). In Telecom Decision CRTC 2015-40, the CRTC further directed CNOC and the cable carriers in question to submit a report, within 90 days, on the state of progress in resolving these issues. Rogers smacks down WWE Network carriage deals with multiple TV providers

TORONTO — Following on its exclusive deal last summer to distribute WWE’s flagship programming in Canada, Rogers announced today it has reached carriage agreements for WWE Network with multiple television providers. Rogers became the exclusive Canadian distributor of WWE Network through 2024 in a 10-year broadcast and multimedia agreement reached with WWE in August. Cogeco Data Services to launch new facility in Montreal this spring

MONTREAL — Cogeco Data Services says its new 100,000-square-foot data centre in Montreal is on track to launch this coming spring. Currently under construction in the suburb of Kirkland, the company’s new state-of-the-art facility will be designed to Tier 3 standards.
