Sean Bean to narrate Love Nature documentary special

TORONTO — Blue Ant Media’s wildlife and nature brand Love Nature announced today award-winning British actor Sean Bean (above) will narrate its latest original documentary, Osprey: Sea Raptor, which will roll out on Love Nature’s linear and streaming platforms outside of the U.S. and UK, starting this fall.

The one-hour documentary is a co-production between Love Nature and The WNET Group (PBS Nature), and is produced in association with CosmoVision Media Group. Blue Ant International is handling international pre-sales and licensing. In the UK, the documentary will debut on Sky Nature.

Osprey: Sea Raptor profiles “the incredible true story of a pair of magnificent raptors, a life-long couple, as they reunite having traveled separately across continents to the same location year-after-year to raise their young,” reads a description in a press release.

Love Nature has released an official trailer featuring Bean’s narration, which can be viewed here.

Bean is known for his acting work in Game of Thrones, Ronin, GoldenEye, Patriot Games and the British television dramas Sharpe’s Waterloo, Sharpe’s Justice and others in the Sharpe series based on Bernard Cornwell’s novels.

“Sean Bean’s distinctive narration brings both drama and relatability to this incredible look inside the lives of Osprey,” says Carlyn Staudt, global general manager of Love Nature, in the release. “The storytelling in Osprey: Sea Raptor, combined with the next-level natural history filmmaking it took to capture intimate details inside a wild nest, raises the bar on Love Nature’s commitment to bringing viewers closer to nature and wildlife.”
