SCTE will make Expo 2009 green

EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is going green for this year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.

SCTE has organized a platform for promoting energy-efficient technologies and solutions across the cable telecommunications industry that promise to improve corporate bottom lines and preserve energy resources.

Led by an MSO steering council, the SCTE Green Pavilion will assemble a set of qualified exhibitors, each focused on at least one of three specific areas: powering improvements for facilities and plant; fleet enhancements involving smart routing and other fleet management options; and operational upgrades and improvements to enable additional efficiencies.

Expo 2009 is set for October 28–30, 2009 in Denver, CO, as part of Cable Connection – Fall. More than 10,000 cable telecommunications technologists will gather for hundreds of state-of-the-art technical exhibits, a full slate of technical workshops, and first-rate networking opportunities.
