EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is calling for papers and presentations for technical sessions to be conducted during Cable-Tec Expo 2016, which is set for September 26 – 29, in Philadelphia, PA.
The Expo 2016 program committee is targeting papers in the following key areas: delivering Gigabit to the premises/deploying DOCSIS 3.1; delivering Gigabit to the premises/Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and fiber deeper; intelligent energy management/energy innovations; connection in the home (Wi-Fi, IoT, MoCA); network + IaaS = services; and proactive maintenance/advanced predictive alarming. Other topics addressing current cable industry technical, engineering, operational practices, workforce training, and business issues will also be considered.
Each submission must be entered separately online at SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2016 Abstract Submissions by March 1, 2016.
Interested presenters should submit a one-page abstract (300 words max.) that identifies which overall theme (Delivering Gigabit to the Premises: Fiber to the Home and Fiber Deeper/Deploying DOCSIS 3.1; Intelligent Energy Management/Energy Innovations; Connection in the Home (Wi-Fi, IoT, MoCA); Network + IaaS = Services; and Proactive Maintenance/Advanced Predictive Alarming). It must also include the paper title, a brief description of the proposed session content, the name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address.
Previously published papers and product-specific presentations will not be accepted. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world examples that attendees can apply to their everyday work. Many unique sessions will be offered this year so that the number of presenters per session can be reduced and the depth and coverage of technical content can be accordingly increased for better learning.
The SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2016 program committee will announce selected presentations by April 15. If submitters do not receive notification by April 15, contact SCTE/ISBE to verify submission status.
Selected participants will be required to complete and submit an electronic version of their white paper and an associated PowerPoint presentation to be given at the event by June 30 for inclusion in the SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2016 proceedings.
