EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is calling for papers and presentations for technical sessions to be conducted during Cable-Tec Expo 2014, which is set for September 22 – 25 in Denver, CO.
The Expo 2014 program committee is targeting papers in three key areas: customer experience, next generation video, and next generation networks: gigabit and beyond. It is desired that all sessions be interactive and include case studies whenever possible. Other topics addressing current cable industry technical, engineering, and business issues will also be considered.
Each submission must be entered separately through the online submission platform for SCTE Expo 2014 Abstract Submissions by April 4, 2014.
Interested presenters should submit a one-page abstract (300 words maximum) which identifies the overall theme (customer experience, next generation video, and next generation networks: gigabit and beyond). It must also include the paper title, a brief description of proposed session content, name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address.
Previously published papers and product-specific presentations will not be accepted. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world examples that attendees can apply to their everyday work. Note that more unique sessions will be offered this year so that the number of presenters per session can be reduced and the depth and coverage of technical content can be accordingly increased for better learning.
The program committee will announce the selected presentations by May 16, and selected speakers are required to submit electronic versions of their supporting white paper and an associated PowerPoint presentation to be given at the event by June 27, 2014.
