TORONTO – The deadline to sign up for the SCTE Ontario Chapter Cable-Tec Games is March 17.
They will be held in Mississauga on Thursday, March 30.
So far, organizers are well short of their goal of 24 competitors and teams of four competitors. The winner gets a free pass into Cable-Tec conference and trade show in Denver in June. Register by fax to Christine Hanley at 416-649-7201 or go to www.scte-ontario.com/CT_Games.html.
The next SCTE Ontario general meeting will be held Thursday, April 27 in Ottawa. The session topics will cover all aspects of fibre optics. Attendees will gain a better understanding of fiber optic fundamentals, DWDM, node splitting techniques, HFC reverse path issues and troubleshooting. The final agenda and speakers are being finalized. Times Fiber is also offering their plant tour on Wednesday April 26 in Renfrew.
This year’s golf tournament will be Tuesday, August 8 at Lionhead in Brampton.
