EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) awarded the Golden Gate Chapter with ‘Chapter of the Year’, and Powell Bedgood of the Emerald Coast Chapter with ‘Member of the Year’ at its recent annual awards ceremony.
Other recipients of SCTE chapter awards for 2010 are:
– The Desert Chapter was named most improved Chapter of the year;
– The SCTE Compliance Award recipient was the Golden Gate Chapter. The Most Improved Chapter (Compliance) was the Chattahoochee Chapter;
– The SCTE Professional Development Award recipient was the Golden Gate Chapter. The Most Improved Chapter (Professional Development) was the Ark-La-Tex Chapter;
– The SCTE Recruitment Award recipient was the Desert Chapter. The Most Improved Chapter (Recruitment) was the Badger State Chapter;
– The SCTE Striving for Excellence Award recipient was the Sierra Chapter. The Most Improved Chapter (Striving for Excellence) was the Smokey Mountain Chapter.
The Compliance, Professional Development, Recruitment, and Striving for Excellence awards are each earned based on an objective points system for each award, and combining the points earned for those four award categories determines the Chapter of the Year Award recipients. The Chapter Member of the Year Award is determined by a traditional nomination process.
