EXTON, PA – The SCTE will showcase five innovative products and solutions designed to drive new value for cable system operators at its first Innovation Showcase in conjunction with the SCTE Canadian Summit in Toronto.
ARRIS, Kindsight, Motorola, Sandvine and Vecima Networks will demonstrate new approaches in a variety of technology areas, ranging from content management and bandwidth usage management to bandwidth reclamation and identity theft.
Using mobile text messaging, Canadian Summit attendees will then be able to vote for one of the five solutions as the ‘most likely technology to succeed’. The winner will be announced during the lunch program on March 9.
“SCTE conferences play a critical role in introducing and showcasing the new products and solutions that will shape the future of the cable industry,” said Steve Irvine, VP of technology for EastLink Cable Systems, and contact for the Innovation Showcase, in a statement. “We’ve introduced the Innovation Showcase to highlight the latest technologies that can help the operator community to manage costs, add functionality and improve the overall value of the services delivered to customers."
The second annual SCTE Canadian Summit 2010 is scheduled for March 9-10, 2010 in Toronto.
