TORONTO – Clearcable Networks has announced a flow-through integration of its Nomad Management System (NOMS) with the Calix E7 Ethernet Service Access Platforms for advanced fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) solutions.
Clearcable’s NOMS is a comprehensive and versatile interface for enabling automated provisioning of network elements including cable modems, embedded multimedia terminal adapters, optical network units, and softswitches directly from customer management and billing systems.
The Hamilton-based consulting engineering firm made the announcement to coincide with the start of the 2012 SCTE Canadian Summit which opened Tuesday. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Calix booth 404 to learn more.
“We are very excited about expanding our capabilities to address the growing trend of FTTP,” said president Rob McCann, in the announcement. “We have found the Calix E7 platforms robust and their support team professional and responsive. The combination of Calix fibre access expertise with Clearcable NOMS provides broadband service providers with a powerful solution that enables the rapid and efficient turn-up of advanced fibre services.”
