EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is seeking proposals for technical sessions during its annual Cable-Tec Expo which this year is scheduled for November 14 – 17 in Atlanta.
Technical paper proposals must be submitted to the SCTE by June 10, and the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011 program committee, chaired by Suddenlink CTO Terry Cordova, will announce selected presentations by July 29, 2011.
The program committee is particularly interested in proposals that address today’s technical and engineering issues and opportunities from a here-and-now perspective. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world tools that attendees can apply to their everyday work. The general subject categories, outlined in full detail here, are:
– Engineering;
– Technical Operations;
– Plant Operations;
– Facility Operations; and
– Business Services.
Interested participants should submit their one-to-two-page proposals (500 words max.) in abstract form and include topic heading, paper title, delivery method (including explanation of how the session will include interactive components), a brief description of proposed session content, name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address. Previously published papers and product-specific presentations will not be accepted.
