EXTON, PA – Smart energy management will be front and centre at the CableLabs and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers' (SCTE) exhibits at The Cable Show 2012 next week.
Presented in association with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, the exhibits will showcase the near-term solutions and the long-range commitment to managing energy consumption at a variety of points in the cable ecosystem. On display will be light sleep modes for cable set-top boxes, cable-delivered Smart Home services and other offerings, as well as the new SCTE Energy Management Recommended Practices for Cable Facilities and a timeline for standards that are designed to reduce power and increase service availability for new network equipment.
CableLabs and SCTE representatives will also participate in the ‘Smart Energy: The Power of Broadband’ session in the show’s Imagine Park.
The Cable Show is being held May 21 – 23 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston.
