SCTE Cable-Tec Expo set for October in Atlanta

EXTON, PA — The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) announced last week SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2021 will take place as a hybrid event in Atlanta from October 11 to 14.

Last year’s event was completely virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s hybrid experience “will enable attendees to see the emerging technologies and applications transforming the industry and directly connect with the experts leading the transformation of connectivity in person or online,” reads an SCTE press release.

“Our industry rose to the challenge of keeping the world connected throughout the pandemic, and we need to get back together to both celebrate as well as to create a plan to continue to deliver the experiences our customers expect and deserve,” said Mark Dzuban, SCTE president and CEO, in the release.

“Cable-Tec Expo annually attracts thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors from across the globe, and we are thrilled to host the first large-scale trade show in the cable industry reconvening in person following a difficult year.”

Kicking off the week in Atlanta with a pre-event technology workshop, the 55th Annual Cable TV Pioneers Banquet and an opening general session, the Expo will also feature the first National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)-SCTE live bi-coastal collaborative event, more than 50 Fall Technical Forum sessions and cutting-edge presentations via the Innovation Theater Stage, says the release.

The in-person portion of the event will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center, where SCTE will be creating a low-touch experience across the event.
