SCTE CABLE-TEC 2014: Awards winners revealed; 2015 event dates announced

DENVER - The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) handed out its annual awards amidst record attendance and an increase in exhibitors at this week’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver.Member of the Year Award went to Bob Acheson, sales and marketing professional with San Bruno Cable TV in Sunnyvale, Calif; the Women in Technology Award was given to Sherita Ceasar, vice president, national video deployment engineering with Comcast Cable; the SCTE Chairman’s Award was presented to Mike LaJoie, CTO with Time Warner Cable; and Brian James received the SCTE Excellence in Standards Award this year.SCTE also inducted three esteemed individuals...
