TORONTO – The Score’s ever-present ticker was updated today.
The always-on sports information (even when ads are showing) is faster and easier to read and this next-generation ticker will also shrink during live events on The Score and ScoreHD to provide a larger picture.
In addition, the new ticker will add new features, including situational details on a sport-by-sport basis, such as:
* A field-position locator for football;
* Flag indicator for auto racing;
* Base position for baseball;
* Power play indicator for hockey;
* Clock featuring five time zones;
* Expanded box scores;
* Breaking news section;
In addition to the upgraded sports features, the new ticker will provide faster real-time score updates with a status bar that indicates when the next group of scores will be displayed. It will also be broadcast in 720p high-definition on the ScoreHD.
