Score Media targets music fans with album release

TORONTO – In an effort to branch out from its traditional sports properties, Score Media is getting into the music business.

The company has partnered with Warner Music Canada, EMI Music Canada and Universal Music Canada on a compilation album called ‘theScore Rocks’ which will be available Tuesday in stores and on-line.  Building on the popularity of theScore Music Series, a collection of interviews where rock stars share their passion for sports, ‘theScore Rocks’ features mainstream and modern rock artists such as Nickelback, Alice In Chains, Billy Talent, Weezer, Finger Eleven, and Tokyo Police Club.

“Sports fans love their favourite bands as much as their favourite teams – this album serves as the perfect synergy between music and sports”, the company said in a press release.
