Scaredy Squirrel’s Halloween-themed promotion has legs

TORONTO - Just in time for Halloween, Corus-owned children’s publisher Kids Can Press has kicked off a marketing campaign in support of the latest book from its best-selling Scaredy Squirrel series. The campaign is centred around a one-minute Public Service Announcement (PSA) starring Scaredy Squirrel, the notoriously cautious children’s book character, where he offers safety tips for trick-or-treating based on the just-released book Scaredy Squirrel Prepares for Halloween. Together with Montreal author-illustrator Mélanie Watt, Kids Can Press worked with an animator from Nelvana and audio and post-production specialists at Corus to bring Scaredy to life.  A French-language PSA was created...
