
REGINA – SaskTel continues to upgrade internet speeds in rural areas of the province, announcing Monday that its interNET Extended 25 service is now available in 25 more communities.
interNET Extended 25 provides download speeds up of to 25 Mbps, the fastest SaskTel has ever offered in rural areas, and includes unlimited usage and in-home Wi-Fi.
Effective immediately, the service is available to residents and businesses in Arborfield, Asquith, Balcarres, Bethune, Craik, Duck Lake, Englefeld, Francis, Hague, Holdfast, Imperial, Kinistino, Kronau, Lemberg, Leroy, Lipton, Naicam, Perdue, Qu’Appelle, Sedley, Spalding, St. Brieux, Waldheim, Watson, and Yellow Creek.
“Our interNET Extended 25 service offers rural customers more bandwidth than ever before, allowing them to more fully participate in the modern economy and take advantage of all the educational and social opportunities that exist online today,” said acting SaskTel president and CEO Doug Burnett, in the news release.
These Internet upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/2019 and more than $1.4 billion through 2018-2023.
