Sasktel workers “prepared to take a stand” after collective agreement expires: union


REGINA – The union representing nearly 3,000 workers at Sasktel is hinting at “service disruptions” after negotiations on a new collective agreement appear to have stalled.In a statement issued Saturday, Unifor blamed the provincial government’s mandate of wage freezes and other concessions for bogging down negotiations with Crown corporation workers including Sasktel, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, SaskWater, the Saskatchewan Water Authority, Directwest, and Securetek."Premier Moe is steering negotiations towards a province-wide service disruption," said Unifor national president Jerry Dias, in the statement.
