MELFORT, SK – SaskTel’s volunteer organization SaskTel Pioneers presented Habitat for Humanity with a cheque for $20,000 Wednesday in support of the building of Habitat’s first home in Melfort.
The home, located at 310 Crawford Street West in Melfort, is now completely enclosed with roof and sheathing and Habitat volunteers continue to work on it every week. Images of the building can be seen here.
“We are very excited to be able to help support Habitat’s work in Melfort,” said Ian Howard, SaskTel Pioneers Chapter 59 president, in the news release. “We have made similar donations for first builds at Moose Jaw, Nipawin, and North Battleford. We are just happy to be able to work with an organization that makes a difference in these communities.”
