REGINA – SaskTel’s volunteer organization received 17 awards for volunteering excellence at the international Pioneers Annual Meeting and Centennial Celebration held earlier this month in Boston.
The SaskTel Pioneers form a chapter of the Pioneers, the largest industry-related volunteer organization in the world which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2011.
“It’s been another tremendous year for the SaskTel Pioneers,” said SaskTel president and CEO Ron Styles, in the announcement. “The Pioneers have always been terrific ambassadors for SaskTel and these awards celebrate the latest achievements of these dedicated volunteers. Congratulations to all Pioneer members.”
“As SaskTel Pioneers we volunteer our time because we believe it’s important to serve the community,” said SaskTel Pioneers president Darrel Rathgeber. “While awards aren’t the primary motivation, they do demonstrate that our activities are making a difference. All members can be very proud of these latest awards from our international peers.”
