SaskTel using Nokia to roll out symmetrical gigabit services

OTTAWA and REGINA — Nokia announced today SaskTel is using its XGS-PON (10 gigabit symmetrical passive optical network) technology to deliver 1 Gbps service to customers across Saskatchewan, starting with initial roll-out in Regina and Saskatoon with additional communities to follow. For its consumer subscribers, SaskTel is deploying Nokia’s XGS-PON to its existing and future fibre-served communities.
