SaskTel to ramp up 4G capacity in 7 more communities

REGINA - SaskTel will add additional capacity to its 4G wireless network in seven more communities in rural Saskatchewan by the end of this year.The company said this week that it will add a second 850 Mhz carrier in Alida, Gainsborough, Nekaneet, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Spy Hill and Storthoaks, approximately doubling the network capacity in most locations in an effort to meet customer demand.“In addition to these seven, we also recently announced 4G capacity improvements to 111 different rural communities,” said SaskTel president and CEO Ron Styles, in the news release.  “Currently we are evaluating capacity specifically in resort communities...
