SaskTel to bring faster Internet to 46 Indigenous, First Nations communities

REGINA - SaskTel has announced plans to upgrade high speed Internet service in 46 Indigenous and First Nations communities throughout Saskatchewan in 2017/18, in some cases even doubling or tripling the speed of their current service.The Crown Corp said that the upgrades are part of its commitment to invest $1.4 billion in capital in the province through 2016-2021.“The Government of Saskatchewan knows that all people of this province require access to fast and reliable communications services,” said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, in the announcement.  “By upgrading the Internet service in these Indigenous communities, SaskTel is creating more opportunities for...
