
REGINA – SaskTel has announced plans to enhance its High Speed Fusion Internet network in a number of rural areas in the province.
The company said Wednesday that it will install additional High Speed Fusion equipment on towers serving rural areas around Baildon, Buffalo Pound, Cochin, Edenwold, Estevan, Lanigan, and Melville in order to relieve congestion for existing Fusion customers as well as offer added capacity for new customers in these areas. In addition, SaskTel will expand the service to the rural areas around Greenstreet and Witchekan in the coming months.
SaskTel High Speed Fusion Internet is available for $79.95/month and offers download speeds of up to 5 Mbps, 50 GB of monthly usage, 24/7 helpdesk support, and spam and email virus filtering.
“This latest investment in rural Saskatchewan will not only improve Fusion service for existing customers in these areas but it will also make Fusion available to new customers,” said president and CEO Ron Styles, in the news release. “With Fusion Internet, our rural customers have access to a faster and more reliable service that allows them to connect with the outside world in more a meaningful way.”
