SaskTel stores providing essential services by appointment only, due to Covid-19

REGINA — In its latest Covid-19 update issued Tuesday, SaskTel reiterated its current policy of providing essential services at its corporate stores by appointment only. The new policy was first posted to SaskTel’s website on March 20 in response to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

The essential services provided at SaskTel stores include:

  • Phone repair and loaner phones
  • New device sales for critical circumstances
  • SIM card swap and replacements
  • Critical accessories (chargers, for example)
  • Gateway (modem) or maxTV box exchanges

Customers who need these essential services are asked to schedule an appointment using the SaskTel Store appointment booking tool. SaskTel says it will only serve customers who have an appointment and customers will need to bring their confirmation email or text to their appointment.

“Please be assured, we have introduced rigorous additional cleaning procedures and are increasing the number of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers available throughout the store for our customers and associates. We’re also following the social distancing recommendations from public health officials,” reads SaskTel’s Covid-19 update.
