SaskTel renews focus on core business

REGINA – In an effort to focus on its core business, SaskTel will sell off some of its real estate holdings plus its HospNet and AgDealer businesses.There will be no job losses at SaskTel as a result of these transactions, the company said in Wednesday’s announcement.“SaskTel has experienced tremendous success in 2009,” said president and CEO Robert Watson, in a statement. “We will continue to focus our efforts on meeting our customers’ communications needs in Saskatchewan.”HospNet provides communication and entertainment services to healthcare locations nationwide, while AgDealer is a trader-type magazine and website for agricultural equipment produced through SaskTel subsidiary DirectWest. ...
