SaskTel readies ‘Riderized’ phone

REGINA – Just in time for the CFL’s opening kickoff, SaskTel is offering fans of the Saskatchewan Roughriders their own customized device.

The HTC One S Roughriders Edition (pictured below), the third device in HTC’s premium One series to launch in Canada, will come with a true digital camera with HTC ImageSense and feature Android 4.0 (ICS) + HTC Sense.  The phone will also come with pre-loaded content including the official Roughriders mobile app, a Rider Widget, which shows live scoreboard updates and next game info, and Rider ringtones and wallpaper.

“SaskTel is pleased to offer Saskatchewan Roughrider fans with a tailored HTC One S,” said Stacey Sandison, SaskTel chief marketing officer, in the announcement.  “The HTC One S is a high-end smartphone with an amazing camera, stunning design and authentic Universal Beats Audio Sound that will allow Rider fans to snap a picture of their favourite Rider player while shooting HD video at the same time.”

Details on a launch date and pricing will be available soon.
