SaskTel offers device protection program

REGINA – SaskTel has launched a program to keep its customers connected should their devices become lost, stolen or broken.

The Wireless Device Protection Plan is an optional insurance and extended warranty plan that replaces a wireless device that is lost, stolen, damaged or malfunctions.  The cost is either $6 or $7 per month depending upon the value of the device, and the plan can be purchased any time within 12 months after buying a wireless device from a SaskTel store or authorized dealer.

“SaskTel is pleased to offer our wireless customers this comprehensive plan that provides both insurance and extended warranty coverage for SaskTel devices,” said president and CEO Ron Styles, in the announcement. “This plan is affordable and offers customers protection from the high cost of replacing lost, stolen, damaged or malfunctioning wireless devices.”
