
BIG RIVER, SK — Residents and businesses in the Town of Big River and 18 other rural Saskatchewan communities will soon be able to access SaskTel’s interNET Extended 50 service, the company announced Thursday.
Offering download speeds up to 50 Mbps, interNET Extended 50 is the fastest rural Internet service SaskTel has ever offered, the company said in a news release. With the introduction of interNET Extended 50, customers in these 19 additional communities will now have a variety of SaskTel interNET Extended packages to choose from with download speeds ranging from 5 Mbps to 50 Mbps.
“When it comes to their Internet connection, we know that speed is a top priority, and with interNET Extended 50, our customers in rural Saskatchewan can download, stream and share the digital content they want to faster than ever before,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel president and CEO, in the news release.
SaskTel will launch its interNET Extended 50 service on September 30 in the following communities: Allan, Beauval, Big River, Colonsay, Craik, Duck Lake, Eatonia, Elrose, Kinistino, Laird, Lebret, Lemberg, Lipton, Naicam, Porcupine Plain, Rocanville, Sedley, St. Brieux and Stockholm.
