
REGINA – SaskTel continues to bring faster Internet speeds to rural areas of the province after launching its interNET Extended service in the Village of Sceptre as well as the northern communities of Creighton and Denare Beach.
Residents in these communities may now sign up for interNET Extended 5, with download speeds up to 5 Mbps, or interNET Extended 10, with download speeds up to 10 Mbps. Both packages include unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi, and 24/7 helpdesk support.
“At SaskTel, we are committed to being the best at connecting our customer’s to their world,” said acting SaskTel president and CEO Doug Burnett, in the news release. “It’s this commitment that continues to drive us to be the leading communications provider in the province today and into the future.”
These Internet upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/2019 and more than $1.4 billion through 2018-2023.
