SaskTel introduces 24/7 online technical support


REGINA – SaskTel customers can now access a new monthly subscription service called SaskTel LiveExpert that provides support for non-SaskTel, computer-related hardware and software 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Subscribers access LiveExpert via online chat by clicking an icon on their computer desktop which connects them to a technical support agent within 7-10 seconds.

“We know that when customers have a problem with a piece of computer hardware or software they just want someone to help them get it working again,” said president and CEO Ron Styles, in the announcement.  “While our own SaskTel technical support team will continue to assist customers with SaskTel-supported products and services, LiveExpert provides a quick and easy way for customers to get help with their other computer-related technology whenever they need it.”

The LiveExpert Basic subscription, available for $5.95 per month, includes a monthly automated check of the customer’s computer for health and performance issues, followed by an optimization and tune-up to resolve any identified issues. It also includes unlimited access to technical support via online chat 24/7 as well as stolen laptop recovery and data protection service.

Customers may also select the LiveExpert Premium package for $14.95 per month which adds continuous monitoring of the customer’s computer with remote intervention and management capabilities.
