SaskTel granted spectrum extension for WBBI towers

REGINA - SaskTel has received a second extension from Industry Canada for its Wireless Broadband Internet (WBBI) spectrum. The extension, through March 31, 2015, will allow customers on 43 WBBI towers across the province more time to transition from the WBBI High Speed Internet service to other SaskTel Internet options. As Cartt.ca reported, the regional telco is rolling out its high speed fusion Internet service, a new fixed wireless LTE-TDD service for WBBI customers receiving service from specific towers in the province. www.sasktel.com
