SaskTel gets its Groove on

REGINA – mobile music commerce company, Groove Mobile, and Saskatchewan provincial telco SaskTel, announced their partnership to bring mobile music to SaskTel’s advanced digital network.

Wednesday’s announcement will pave the way for Groove Mobile to bring its music service and new music discovery feature to over 300,000 SaskTel customers, thus extending Groove Mobile’s Canadian mobile music operations from coast to coast.

The new music service will include an advanced music discovery feature with music recommendations based on each customer’s purchase history, and recalculating recommendations with every new purchase.

“Partnering with SaskTel to bring Groove Mobile’s award-winning music to Canada’s music fans is part our commitment to bring mobile music to the world,” stated Adam Sexton, chief marketing officer, Groove Mobile.
“SaskTel’s advanced digital network and Groove Mobile’s innovative music discovery features are a perfect fit for music fans who demand a quality music experience direct to their mobile phone.”

The SaskTel Mobile Music Store will provide full-track music downloads direct to mobile handsets, access to multiple charts, downloading high quality album art, shop and play, browsing and previews. The music service will also support dual downloading in which customers purchase music over the air and download a copy of the track to their handset and get a copy delivered to their PC. They can then play it on their laptop or PC, transfer it onto an MP3 player, or burn it onto a CD.
