SaskTel extends maxTV Stream and faster Internet to five more towns

REGINA — Residents in five more rural Saskatchewan communities now have access to SaskTel’s maxTV Stream and interNET Extended 25 and 50 services, the provincial Crown corporation announced Thursday.

SaskTel has extended these services to the rural communities of Avonlea, Grand Coulee, Pense, Rouleau and Wilcox.

Delivering download speeds up to 25 Mbps and 50 Mbps, respectively, interNET Extended 25 and interNET Extended 50 are the fastest rural Internet packages SaskTel has ever offered. With this latest expansion, SaskTel now offers Internet packages with download speeds of up to 50 Mbps or faster in more than 330 communities across Saskatchewan.

Available in 380 communities across the province, maxTV Stream combines traditional television with advanced technology and the latest OTT content from Netflix and YouTube. With the maxTV App, subscribers can watch live TV and VOD programming on their smartphone or tablet, anywhere in Canada. Among the advanced features offered with maxTV Stream are the abilities to restart live TV up to 72 hours in the past and to control the TV with Bluetooth and voice command technology.
