REGINA – SaskTel continues to upgrade internet speeds in rural areas of the province, announcing Wednesday that its interNET Extended 25 service is now available in six more communities.
Residents of Birch Hills, Carrot River, Fort Qu’Appelle, Hudson Bay, Moosomin and Porcupine Plain may now sign up for interNET Extended 25, which provides download speeds up of to 25 Mbps and includes unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi, spam and email virus filtering.
“SaskTel is committed to investing in cutting-edge technologies that provide our customers the tools they need to connect with their world,” said acting SaskTel president and CEO Doug Burnett, in the news release. “With interNET Extended 25, our rural customers will have more bandwidth than ever before to get the most out of their internet service.”
These Internet upgrades are part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest $301 million of capital in Saskatchewan in 2018/2019 and more than $1.4 billion through 2018-2023.
