SaskTel extends 4G wireless coverage to 16 more locations

REGINA - SaskTel said Friday that it has rolled out its 4G wireless network to 16 more locations across Saskatchewan.The 4G network provides increased bandwidth and download speeds of approximately four times faster than existing speeds, SaskTel said.  Upgrades in Regina and Saskatoon are expected to be complete by this summer, and 4G wireless coverage is on track to be available to 98% of the population by the end of 2011.“Our 4G wireless network delivers increased bandwidth, greater international roaming and a wider selection of wireless devices,” said president and CEO Ron Styles, in the announcement. “4G is the new industry standard and...
