SaskTel enhances high speed Internet in Northeastern Saskatchewan

REGINA – SaskTel is in the final stages of a three year, $30 million project to rebuild the backhaul network in Northeastern Saskatchewan.As part of this project, SaskTel, in partnership with Cameco and SaskPower, is building a fibre optics line from La Ronge to Points North that will serve as the backbone infrastructure that will significantly increase the bandwidth available throughout the region.  SaskTel is also investing approximately $10 million in additional upgrades that will reinforce the radio backhaul network in Creighton and Denare Beach, as well as upgrade the microwave radio system between Sandy Bay and Pelican Narrows.Once completed, these enhancements will...
