REGINA – SaskTel last week announced the Village of Paradise Hill and Town of Preeceville are among the next wave of Saskatchewan communities to receive interNET Extended 25 and 50 as well as maxTV Stream service.
Paradise Hill is a village of about 500 near the Alberta border, about a three hour drive northwest of Saskatoon. Preeceville is a community of about 1,100 and is 310 kms east of Saskatoon, near the Manitoba border.
Delivering download speeds up to 25 and 50 Mbps, interNET Extended 25 and interNET Extended 50 are the fastest rural internet packages SaskTel has ever offered, says the company’s press release. With this latest expansion, SaskTel now offers internet packages with download speeds that range from 5-50 Mbps in all communities listed in the photo above.
SaskTel’s MaxTV Stream, which offers restart, a maxTV app, built-in applications like Netflix and YouTube, are also now available in those communities.
UPDATE: On Monday, the company also announced it launched interNET Extended 50 in nine more communities, including: Biggar, Broadview, Davidson, Hague, Lanigan, Maryfield, Osler, Qu’Appelle, and Watson, offering download speeds up to 50 Mbps.
