SaskTel continues support of Haiti

REGINA – SaskTel employees gathered at a City of Regina warehouse Friday to fill a 40-foot shipping container with donated medical equipment and supplies bound for Haiti.

The company will also share in the cost of shipping the container to a health clinic near the border with the Dominican Republic.

This is the seventh shipment in a larger initiative between SaskTel and the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region to help communities in need in the developing world as a result of poverty, disease, war, displacement and other challenges.

“SaskTel has been doing business in the developing world for many years, so SaskTel employees feel a responsibility to help people in need of assistance in Haiti,” said president and CEO Robert Watson, in the announcement.
