REGINA – Residents of the village of Kendal are the latest rural subscribers now able to access high speed interNET Extended 5 and interNET Extended 10 from SaskTel

“This is exciting news for Kendal. Most people take for granted being able to bank, stream movies, and do research online, but for our residents that has been a luxury,” said Lea Zohner, Mayor of Kendal, in the company press release. “Having a reliable Internet connection will greatly benefit everyone in our community, especially our young people who will now have the same online learning opportunities as other children. In addition, having High Speed Internet may also help us to attract newcomers to our community.”

This expansion is part of SaskTel’s commitment to invest over $300 million in capital in Saskatchewan in 2017/18 and $1.4 billion through 2016-2021.

High speed interNET Extended 5 offers download speeds of up to 5 megabits per second (Mbps) while High Speed interNET Extended 10 offers download speeds of up to 10 Mbps. Both packages include unlimited usage, free installation, in-home Wi-Fi, spam and email virus filtering.
