
REGINA – SaskTel’s High Speed Fusion Internet will be available on 25 more towers serving rural Saskatchewan by the end of March 2018.
These towers serve the vicinities of Alameda, Arelee, Balgonie, Bethune, Birch Hills, Colfax, Delisle, Grandora, Indian Head, Kelvington, Kenosee Lake, Langbank, Macklin, Moosomin, Outlook, Pense, Pike Lake, Porcupine Plain, Preeceville, Rabbit Lake, Red Deer Hill, Vibank, Wakaw, Wynyard and Zehner.
“SaskTel is committed to investing in cutting edge technologies that provide our customers the tools they need to connect with their world,” said SaskTel acting president and CEO Doug Burnett, in the news release. “With download speeds up to 10 Mbps (Megabits per second), High Speed Fusion Internet service offers enough bandwidth for rural customers to get more out of the Internet than ever before.”
This expansion is part of a $4.2 million investment by SaskTel to bring High Speed Fusion Internet to 34 rural locations by this spring. Once completed, SaskTel will have 102 Fusion equipped towers serving rural areas province wide.
