SaskTel brings FTTH service to Humboldt


REGINA — Residents and businesses in the city of Humboldt, Sask., now have access to SaskTel’s high-speed fibre Infinet service, as the company announced today it has begun to roll the service into the community of about 6,000, situated 140 kms east of Saskatoon.

Starting today, Infinet service is available in select areas of Humboldt and will soon be available throughout the city, says SaskTel’s press release.

The service delivers speeds reaching up to 300 Mbps. Plus, with advancements in fibre-optics technology, SaskTel promises to soon deliver Internet speeds of up to a gigabit per second (Gbps) and beyond in the future.

Infinet in Humboldt is a direct result of the company’s fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) initiative.
