SaskTel breaks ground on new Saskatoon data centre

REGINA - SaskTel has started construction of a new certified Tier III Data Centre in Saskatoon, bringing its total number of data centre locations in the province to seven.With a tentative completion date of Q4 2016, the new facility will consist of 24,000 square feet of building area including an initial 9,650 square foot data hall, expandable up to 30,000 square feet and an additional 4,630 square feet for the second floor generator rooms.The design has been certified by the Uptime Institute as meeting all Tier III requirements such as concurrently maintainable electrical and mechanical components and multiple independent distribution...
