Saskatchewan to have 100% broadband coverage thanks to $90 million in government money

REGINA – Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall said today that his government will kick in $90 million so that SaskTel will be able to cover 100% of the population with high speed Internet access. The $90-mil from the provincial coffers is part of the provincially-owned telco’s $129 million worth of rural service improvement that includes improving high speed Internet, expanding CommunityNet and building 50 new cell phone towers.
