Samsung offers free device to Canadian Galaxy Note7 owners

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Samsung Electronics is offering a Canadian product exchange program for Galaxy Note7 owners in response to the widely reported battery cell issues with the device.The company said Wednesday that it has identified the affected inventory and stopped sales and shipments of those devices, and that its Canadian customers may either exchange their current Galaxy Note7 device with a new Galaxy Note7, or opt for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7edge through the carrier or retail outlet where they purchased their device.
