Samsung Canada prepares to disable remaining Galaxy Note7 devices

MISSISSAUGA, ON - Samsung Canada will deactivate service for remaining Note7 devices in the Canadian market starting next week.Functional limitations, including a limitation on the battery charge, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disablement will be implemented as early as December 12, and as of December 15, customers still using the Note7 will no longer be able to connect to any Canadian mobile network services to make calls, use data or send text messages.The company also reiterated its earlier requests that remaining Canadian Samsung Note7 owners immediately return their devices to the point of purchase.
